Celebrating Success: CalWORKS and CARE Programs Honor Graduates

This week, the Porterville College Student Center Conference Room (SCCR) was filled with joy and accomplishment as the CalWORKS and CARE programs held a special luncheon to celebrate their graduating students.

The event featured an inspiring address from guest speaker Lisa Casarez, the founder and CEO of Angels of Grace Family Foster Agency. Ms. Casarez, a well-known advocate for women and children in the Central Valley, shared her personal journey of hope and offered heartfelt well wishes to the graduates as they embark on their future endeavors. Her passion for helping others discover their purpose resonated deeply with the students in attendance.

Each graduate was acknowledged for their hard work and dedication and received a thoughtful gift. These self-care items, along with practical backpacks and binders, were provided to support their continued studies and well-being.

The luncheon served as a wonderful opportunity to recognize the achievements of these students and the vital support provided by the CalWORKS and CARE programs at Porterville College. Congratulations to all the graduates!
